To make it easier to access the BIOS setup screen, edit the configuration (.vmx) of the virtual machine and add or edit one of these options: Particularly useful to me are the BIOS setting parameters: In addition, there were settings that I could modify directly. vmx file is plain text, and so I could include comments in it to note down particulars of the setup.
